“Bird Photography Heart Song”
The joyful union of song and bird shadows Bird photography, wild
birds, nature photography, music creation. 2019 Yunnan – first encounter with
bird photography 2024 – passion rekindled 2026 – joy of the soul
Learning bird photography begins with knowing the names of the birds. My 2019 trip to Yunnan opened my eyes to countless species I had never seen before. From dawn till dusk, I waited quietly for their appearance. Far from feeling bored, I was filled with freshness and excitement. In the first four days alone, I encountered thirty to forty new birds each day. Whenever they suddenly appeared, I couldn’t help but cry out in delight—until my friend beside me reminded me to stay calm, lest I scare them away. Only then did I realize how fun bird photography truly was, and I secretly made a wish: one day, I must return. Fortunately, I had Master Huang, an expert in bird photography, who told me the names of each new bird. Through his guidance, I gradually learned to recognize many species.
Update 2024 Since
that first encounter in 2019, I grew increasingly fond of bird photography.
Sadly, the pandemic kept me confined at home for more than three years. When it
finally subsided in 2023, I saw online news that someone had photographed a
hoopoe. Out of curiosity, I followed suit—and unexpectedly reignited my passion
for bird photography. Last Christmas, Mr. V gifted me a powerful camera and
lens. Since then, every weekend I’ve been out practicing. Bird photography is not
only fun, but also a test of patience, and I’ve become more and more captivated.
Update March 19, 2026 Looking back now, from my first steps to my deep immersion, bird photography has become part of my life. Each press of the shutter is a dialogue with nature, a joy of the soul.
